What is long stay student travel insurance?
Backpacker travel insurance is a specialist policy specifically for young people planning extended trips. It's perfect for students and others under 45 year olds traveling for long periods.

To qualify for long stay student travel insurance you must:
• Be travelling for up to 12 months.
• Be under 45 years of age

If you plan to travel further afield than european countries then please select world wide cover. This includes backpacking travel to the USA, Australia, Asia and Africa.
Then select the dates you wish your longstay student travel insurance to run for. If your vacation is less than 31 days you are likely to be better off selecting our single trip or annual travel insurance policies. If you're traveling for up to 45 days then again an annual insurance policy may be better suited to you. For trips over 45 days however our backpacker policy is perfectly tailored for your needs whether you are a student looking for travel insurance or just taking an extended holiday. These policies are available up to the age of 45.
